A united voice for journalists across Punjab.
For decades, the Punjab Media Association has stood for press freedom, member welfare, and the integrity of journalism. This is who we are, what we stand for, and the people who lead us.
Defending press freedom. Supporting working journalists.
PMA exists to protect, support, and represent the working journalists of Punjab. We believe a free, ethical, and well-supported press is the foundation of a healthy society — and we work every day to make that vision real for our members.
From legal advocacy to welfare programs, training, and community building, every PMA initiative ties back to one principle: the journalist on the ground deserves an institution that has their back.
An association by journalists, for journalists.
Founded by working media professionals, PMA today represents thousands of journalists, editors, photographers, and broadcasters across all 41 districts of Punjab — from Lahore to the smallest district press club.
Independent
Member-led, transparently governed, and accountable to journalists alone.
Province-wide
Active chapters and members across every district of Punjab.
Member-first
Welfare, legal, and professional support for every active member.
A Punjab where every journalist works with dignity, safety, and freedom.
We envision a media ecosystem where journalists are protected by law, respected by institutions, supported by their peers, and trusted by the public — and where the next generation of reporters has a clear path to grow.
